Author Guidelines

Authors are welcome to send their papers to this journal. When a paper is submitted, an editor will first check if it fits the journal’s aims and topics. If it is suitable, the paper will be sent for peer review. After the review, the paper will be either accepted or rejected.

Before submitting, authors must make sure they have permission to use any materials in their paper, such as photos, documents, or datasets. All listed authors must agree to be authors of the paper. If needed, the research must have approval from the correct ethics committee based on the laws of the country where the study was done.

An editor may reject a paper immediately if it does not meet basic quality standards. Before you submit, please check that your study design is clear and your research ideas are well explained. The title should be short, and the abstract should clearly explain the main points of the paper.

Doing this will help reviewers agree to review your work. When you feel your paper is ready, follow the checklist below to complete your submission.

The International Journal of Advanced Social Studies publishes research papers quickly. The journal provides a rapid review process of about 4 to 8 weeks. However, sometimes the review process may take longer due to the availability of reviewers and the time they need to provide their feedback. After the acceptance article is published online in the current issue.

The author guidelines for submitting an article are provided below.

The journal publishes three issues each year. The first issue is released from January to April, the second issue from May to August, and the third issue from September to December.

Copyright

When you submit a manuscript, it means the work has not been published before and is not being reviewed by any other journal. The International Journal of Advanced Social Studies allows its publications to be shared, copied, distributed, and adapted, as long as the original source and authors are clearly cited.

Plagiarism Policy

Authors must submit only original work and must give proper credit when using ideas or words from others. This can be done through correct citations. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and is considered unethical. The International Journal of Advanced Social Studies follows the plagiarism rules of HEC, Pakistan. The total similarity of the article should be 19 % or less, while the similarity from a single source should be less or equal to 5 %.

Submission

Authors must ensure that their manuscript follows the formatting rules of the International Journal of Advanced Social Studies before submission. Each article should include the full names of all authors, the corresponding author’s name, an abstract, and keywords, all presented separately from the main text.

Cover Letter

Authors should include a cover letter of about 250–300 words. It needs to explain why the study matters and confirm that all authors agree to submit it. The cover letter should also state how many figures and tables are in the paper, along with any other key details.

Contact Detail

List the full names of all authors and clearly identify the corresponding author. Also include each author’s email address and affiliation.

Formatting Guidelines Manuscript Title

The article’s title should be under 30 words, and it should not include any abbreviations.

Abstract

The abstract should be one short paragraph, no longer than 300 words. It needs to explain the background, including the main question and purpose of the study. It should briefly describe the materials and methods, summarize the key results, and end with the main conclusion. The abstract should give a truthful and clear overview of the work without overstating the findings.

Keywords

The author should provide a list of 3 to 9 relevant keywords.

Introduction

The introduction section should clearly explain what the research is about. It should tell the reader why the study is important and useful. The introduction should also review and mention other research work that is related to the topic. It should be written in a simple and clear way so that readers from different scientific backgrounds can easily understand it.

Materials and Methods

This section should provide a complete study design and a clear description of the materials, interventions, and analyses. Authors should use proper citations for previously published methods. Author should explain any new procedures in detail, and mention any important changes made to the methods used in the study.

Results and Discussion

The Results and Discussion sections should provide all the experimental information needed to support the study. They should be written as separate sections. Use past tense to describe the experiments and results. In the Discussion, explain the results and briefly compare them with other work in the field.

Conclusion and Recommendations

Write the main conclusion of the study and include any policy recommendations. Keep it short, no more than two paragraphs.

Acknowledgement

A paper should give proper credit to the work of others and clearly show the sources of all information, except common knowledge. Authors should also acknowledge the support of people, institutions, or organizations that helped with the research, including those who provided technical help, writing assistance, or funding.

References

When submitting a paper, references must follow APA style. Authors should format all references according to APA guidelines before submission.

Publication Fee

The International Journal of Advanced Social Studies is an Open Access journal. To cover editorial and production costs, APC is required when a manuscript is accepted:

• Authors in Pakistan: PKR 35,000
• Authors outside Pakistan: USD 350

This APC includes peer review, typesetting, DOI registration, online hosting, and long-term archiving. There are no extra charges for color figures or supplementary materials.

When submitting a manuscript, it must not have been published before and must not be under review by any other journal.

Published articles by the International Journal of Advanced Social Studies is freely available under a CC-BY license (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0). This means anyone can copy, share, and adapt the work, even for commercial use, as long as the original work and source are properly credited. This license allows the widest sharing and reuse of open access materials and is preferred by many research funding organizations (read full legal code).
